Feeling the first movements

Early movement does not feel like kicking. It is more often described as bubbles, a flutter, or something turning over, and it is easy to mistake for digestion. First-time parents usually notice it later than those who have been pregnant before, simply because they do not yet know what they are feeling for. There is no schedule to keep up with here. What matters comes later, in the third trimester, when a pattern establishes itself and a change in that pattern becomes something to report rather than watch.
