Movement and play
Rolling, sitting, crawling and pulling up arrive in roughly that order but on very different timetables, and a baby who skips a stage is usually fine. Play at this age is repetition: the same object picked up, dropped and retrieved fifty times is work, not boredom. Floor time matters more than equipment. Time on the tummy while awake builds the strength everything else depends on, and babies who dislike it usually tolerate short frequent goes better than long ones. Talk through what you are doing; language starts long before words do.
