Two parents, one approach
Children work out very quickly when two adults answer differently, and the resulting negotiation is exhausting for everyone. Consistency matters more than correctness here: two imperfect approaches applied consistently beat one ideal approach applied half the time. Disagree away from the child and settle it later rather than in the moment. The other half of this is workload, which divides unevenly more often than either person intends. Saying out loud who does what, including the planning, prevents most of the resentment.
